Swerving

I have a 97 honda civic and recently in the past couple of months the back end of my car has been swerving like im hitting ice. The only problem with this is the past couple of months haven't been weather friendly to having ice. I have had my tires rotated and my car aligned twice and it is still swerving. The tires that I have on my car are just barely 2 years old and those were checked throughly and nothing was wrong with them. What could possible be wrong?

Re: Swerving

Do you have any extra weight in the trunk?

Are the struts blown?

Re: Swerving

No I don't have any extra weight in the back as for the struts i don't know. I would of thought when I had the car in the honda shop they would of looked at that though.

Re: Swerving

ripped rear bushings? it sounds like a toe-out rear in alignment, do you have the print-out after alignment?

Re: Swerving

yes i do and that was aligned as well back to what it should be and i still have the swerving... some of the swerving is light so i don't bother with it but then there is some swerves were it feels like im going to have to correct myself and the adrenaline gets going because it swerves out so much

Re: Swerving

OK, you have toe-in in the rear, which should not be causing the swerve. So get under the car and check for torn bushings - i suspect too much play in rear arms.
curiously your rear camber is neg... this could also indicate that rear shocks are goners and the rears lowered enough to give the neg camber, so check for leaks or if the rear shocks are not firm enough anymore.
front toe seems to have the right in a toe-in, so likely will make the car "easier" or "quicker" to take right turns, but not overly bad.

Re: Swerving

Both of my rear shocks are leaking a little according to the honda mechanics but not bad enough that it would be causing the swerving that is happening. I'm still looking around at prices for shocks to see who does the best deal on them.
