98 civic won't run
My 98 civic won't start. It was running fine and quit all of a sudden will not start back up I checked if it is getting a spark, no spark .There is power to the coil and to the icm the cap and rotor look a little worn but still should work the motor cranks good is there any easy way to check the coil and icm. Instead of the buy a new one and see if that fixes the problem.
Re: 98 civic won't run
Take the distributor cap off and crank the engine. If the rotor is not turning, most likely the timing belt broke.
If it is turning, check the inside of the distributor cap for arc lines. These look like faint pencil lines in the plastic, and would indiciate the spark is arcing around in the cap instead of going to the plugs. Is there spark at the cap from the coil?
