swap d16y8 to d15b
swap d16y8 to d15b
I am looking for a new engine for my 99 civic ex that has a d16y8. I am looking to go a cheap economic route so i don't need a b16 or anything. Swapping to a d15b looks like the best way to go. But i have heard a lot about people having problems doing this but it seems like the problem everyone has is trying to put obd1 engine in the car. They have obd2 d15b engines so that should just wire straight up with my harness right? And will the d16y8 transmission & ecu work for the d15b engine?
