Having some odd clutch issues please help

I am newer to the civic world and i am seeking some advice. For about 3-4 months now i have been having some clutch issues. I have a 1999 honda civic DX hatchback. When i try to release the clutch in between gears or even starting out in first it feels like the clutch pedal is still compressed when it is all the way out. Ive heard the "ya your clutch is fried" but also have seen that if it was doing that i would only have a bout a week or so before it stopped working all together and it has been months now.

I am curious if anyone has a connection in replacing the clutch in denver (i know its a long shot). i just did the tranny myself and do not feel like tearing it apart again. Everyone told me to do the clutch while it was out but i couldnt afford it at the time and didnt want to mess with it... but like the saying goes "if you dont have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find time to do it."

Also has anyone else seen this... could it be a matter of clutch pedal adjustment? Also i talked to a import tuning shop and he said DO NOT use Napa, checker, autozone clutches and that they would be nothing but problems with having to adjust things all the time. Is this true ive always used autozone clutches and never had problems in the past (on my older mustang and bronco).

Have you bled the clutch at all? There could be air. But that would give the pedal a spongy feel.

Maybe its short on clutch fluid? I would at least inspect the lines...

And buy your new clutch online. MUCH cheaper, and you have WAY more selection.
And Ive heard you should use OEM throwout bearings, instead of the ones that come from a kit; though I used the Exedy one that came with mine and I have no complaints..only been @1k miles or so too, so I may eat my words, lol

Yup. I was gonna say, as long as its a trusted aftermarket brand, you should be good. When in doubt, ask, or go with OEM.
