Smile 2000 Honda Civic Problem

I have a 2000 honda civic with a 4 cylinder 5 spd manual transmission...within the last week or so i have notice that my car is barely getting power on inclines and a tremendous decrease in my gas milage; my gas tank holds 10 gallons and i usually can go 330 miles on a full tank which is average of 33 mpg and the last tank i went 268 miles which is a tremendous drop in mpg and i hear some type of rattling noise on my drive side when pressing the gas pedal; any opinions as to what the problem is and what it will take to fix it would greatly be appreciated..thanks..strwbery91@charter.net

is the check engine light on? is the clutch having problems? it might just need a tuneup.
