power-per-mod chart?
power-per-mod chart?
anyone seen anything like this? i know on some other car types i've had i have been able to find things on people dyno testing after each new part to show gains. anyone seen anything like this? probably not.
and anyone here have an idea what a 2000 ex stock d16y8 motor pushes with these mods:
aem intake
2.5" cat back
4-2-1 header
high flow cat
blox intake manifold
maybe ten over stock at most is my guess

Re: power-per-mod chart?
Well... with an intake you'll have some better low end power, and with upgrading your whole exhaust to flow better you'll see better high end power starting at 4500 rpms or so. As that translates to bhp depends on operating condtions, break in periods for the parts, the type of dyno etc... you'd probably see less than 20 over stock bhp. It might not sound like a lot, because its not, but since we begin with such a low amount of power that actually translates to a 10-15% gain in power which makes the car a whole lot funner to drive.

With a high flow cat, you'll see more than 6hp with that setup, but yeah, it wont be anything to brag about at import meets.
