Engine Light On And Off i have a 1996 civic hatch with a d16y8 vtec and a obd1 harness and the p28 ecu. every time i hit a bump the check engine light comes on and goes off. what is worng? if the engine light comes on does it disable vtec?

somethings messed with the wiring then. its prolly hitting metal and shorting out. i would recheck everything.

I found out the problem. After my car was serviced. I checked the Obd1 plug and they left the paper clip in when they check the engine code. It would make a connection when i hit a bump so it was flashing the code. something that easy>
