my girlfriends brother-in law has this 1990 accord. Its been sitting for a year un touched in the yard. Anyways i popped the hood and after 3 cans of raid i ended up replacing the battery, dist cap, plugs (ngk) and plug wires. I cranked it and it started, shut it off and changed the oil (5w-30 RPurple) and then bought 5 gallons of plus 89 gas and put it in. Anyways it started and i managed to sand blast most of the rust off the block. read the engine code and this is what it said:
F20B
Anyone got info on this? I mean his father bought it from a guy in jersey city and i know the engine code from the VIN says F22A4. I looked it up and it said it was from an accord SiR wagon with 200HP 144FT/LBS just wanted to know if theres anymore information

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_F_engine Someone did a swap.
This engine was used in the 1997-2001 Honda Accord SiR and SiR-T (manual) in non-US countries. It uses a DOHC VTEC cylinder head similar to the H22A found in the Prelude but was designed to comply with many countries' sub-2.0 liter tax. The automatic transmission versions received the lower hp version, as it was tuned for more mid-range torque than its manual transmission counterpart.
Specifications
* Accord SiR wagon, SiR-T(Type-R) F20B 97-01 2.0L
* Valve train: 4 Cylinder, DOHC VTEC, 16 Valve
* Bore: 85.0mm
* Stroke: 88.0mm
* Displacement: 1997cc
* Torque: 144 LBS-FT @ 5500 RPM
* Horsepower: 200 HP @ 7000 RPM
* Red Line: 7200rpm
* Compression: 11.0:1
* Fuel Control: OBD-2

thanks rob, its running a little rough on 87 gas right now idk why im gonna check the fuel pump tomorrow when i go over tomorrow. I guess if thats going ill just upgrade to a walbro 255, still needs alot of body work as the roof has water stains all over it and theres a hole where the spare tire was in the trunk (spare is on the ground under the hole lol)

Did you get the old gas out before putting the new gas in?
If not I'd drop the fuel tank and clean out the layer of crap in the bottom of it, then refill.

yea we dropped the tank and cleared it out, turns out the fuel line was clogged with god know what the stuff was it was like something out of AVP lol. anyways cleared the tank and lines. it runs nicely, its bone stock though. no headers, no intake, nothing. Its his so he just wants to use it as a daily driver, ill get pix next time im there. I think he did order a K&N drop in, and he wants to get a silent but good looking cat back but thats it. Were replacing the suspension this weekend with Eibach Pro Kit and Tokico Blues, I know for the exhaust we might go custom up to a ITR muffler, or just save the trouble and get a WSII well ok i want a WSII it.
Thanks ill def take a look at that maple50175
again though this isnt my project its my girlfriends brother inlaws. What i wanna do is get this thing set and jump over to honda day with it.
