I wouldn't buy it but do a compression test just to be sure the engine really is healthy.

I wasn't going to say anything but since you did. That isn't a real valve cover, some people care others don't but just and FYI.

Find out what it was tunned on. He he says it's just running a generic "chip" that wasn't tunned exactly for his setup, walk away.

If it was done the right way he should say somthing along the lines of "It's a chipped p28 tunned on hondata/uberdata/crome/neptune". If he says something like "It's a p28 with a "Skunk2", "Spoon", "Mugen" chip I wouldn't buy it or I would have it tunned the right way.

Re: i might buy it....what do you all think.....

ok....this is his exact message.....

"The Ecu was sent off to skunk2 to be chipped and programmed."

since it is a skunk2....is that not as good....should i ask him anymore questions.....or should i just forget about the whole thing.......

I personally wouldn't buy it. If it was dyno tunned for his excat setup than I'd say it would be ok.

The problem isn't if shunk2 is good or not. Think of it this way. If you built your own n/a lsvtec would you want to just to have your ecu chipped with a map that wasn't tunned specificly for your setup or would you want to get dyno tunned specificly to your motor.

Re: i might buy it....what do you all think.....

^that sounds much better. If my memory serves me inline pro has a good rep honda-tech. Again I'd do a compression test and see if you can dyno graph if possible (with the a/f ratio). Do you have a link to the for sale ad?
