Question Locked steering wheel/key on 1996 LX

Hi,

I cannot turn the key in the ignition of my 1996 Civic LX, and consequently the steering wheel is locked.
Has anything similar ever happened to anyone here?
I have to precise I parked in a complicated spot and my steering wheel is stuck to the left.

If worse comes to worse I can call AAA tomorrow but I have a feeling there must be a simple trick to solve the problem.

Thanks in Advance!

Mess with it a bit... turn the wheel as hard as you can one way and try to turn the key once it has been turned, and then try the other way.... It will take some fiddling, and feel like its not moving the wheel; but it should free up.

Try tapping your break or throttle as well.

Just move the wheel back and forth as far as it will go. Hit the breaks until they start to get heavy, give it a couple pumps on the gas, and then just mess with the key. This happened every couple weeks in my old 92' Civic. Its frustrating but just take some time to mess with it and it will work. And when it does, its a great feeling, lol.
