Question 2004 honda civic EX LED's not fitting turn signals

I got these LED's to fit into my rear brake lights, but they won't fit into the turn signals. they go in, but they don't seem to go in far enough to "click" in. They say they are 7443 and 7440. Does anyone else have problems with this, or do I need a different style?

On a related issue, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! How do the rear parking lights that are on the trunk (above the reverse lights) unscrew. I have tried to the point of almost breaking the plastic. I can't get them to come out. Also... are they the same bulb as the brake lights, or the turn signals? Because the LEDs I have will fit the brake lights, but don't seem to fit the turn signals for some reason.

These are the LEDs I got. they have good reviews and are red.

Thanks for the help everyone. I just got this car so I'm having fun with some upgrades.

I physically just got out of my car to make sure I tell you correctly. The bulb above the reverse light is pretty easy you can either undo the wiring harness and then remove it or leave it be whichever you choose. I have small hands so I just grabbed the base of it and turned it to my left, if not you could take a pair of needle nose and do it if you can fit your hand in there.

The pliers worked! I was able to stick a couple of LEDs in them. The bulbs were almost completely black. No wonder they were so dim.

Awesome! I hope yours actually work because I just replaced mine a week ago and it still doesn’t work. I’m thinking I have a bad socket or a bad wire somewhere.

Sometimes the LED bulbs require you to turn them 180 degrees to work if they don't the fist time you install them.

I turned them, but they don't physically fit in. Maybe they're just not designed for that.

I did not mean physically installing them when I said turn 180 degrees. If they fit and do not light up you could try to turn them 180 degrees to make the connections.

Being labeled as a 7443/7440 bulb just means it will fit into a 7443/7440 socket, it does not necessarily mean it will fit into the bulb housing.

Re: 2004 honda civic EX LED's not fitting turn signals

I guess I will have to find one a little brighter then stock that fits the smaller size for the turn signals.
