Since I am running two 4 ohm subwoofers in phase and two 4 ohm Subwoofers out of phase, what is the total ohm count of my subs...1 or 2 ohms? Does the ohms change with having two speakers out of phase?
parrallel is the two speakers (X x Y) divided by (X + Y)
series is the two speakers added X + Y
So you have (4 + 4) x (4 + 4) divided by (4 +4) + (4 + 4)
8 x 8 divided by 8 + 8
64 divided by 16 = 4
You would connect terminal + of subwoofer A to amp positive
terminal - of subwoofer A to + of subwoofer B
terminal - of subwoofer B to amp negative
terminal + of subwoofer C to amp positive
terminal - of subwoofer C to + of subwoofer D
terminal - of subwoofer D to amp negative
Provided that they are wired to the amp in mono mode

Joe is correct, phase has nothing to do with the impedance. Since two of the speakers are backwards, then they are wired backwards. So all that is changed is the direction of the woofer's throw.
You would connect terminal + of subwoofer A to amp positive
terminal - of subwoofer A to - of subwoofer B
terminal + of subwoofer B to amp negative
terminal + of subwoofer C to amp positive
terminal - of subwoofer C to - of subwoofer D
terminal + of subwoofer D to amp negative
This would yield a 4 ohm load

anyway, I think there is a simple answer to my question somewhere in one of these replies

...and Rickinthescv, they are dual 8 ohm subs
