What CD changers will work with Stock Head Unit ??

Hello

What CD changer will work with a Stock Cassette Head unit. The head Unit does have controls for a CD changer.
I have a 02 HX.
Is there a particular brand, or models ??

Thanks !

JohnDoe is an unknown quantity at this point
Soundgate makes an adaptor that will allow you to add an alpine 6-disc changer to the stock head unit. It retails for 69.99 plus a cable which is 13.99. The changer that goes with it (CHM-S630) is 239.99. I noticed you live in MD, I work at a car audio store in MD. I can get all these things for you. PM me, or E-Mail me at dgregory@cinemastores.com and I'll give you all the details. You can even IM me at DanIsTheBassMan or call the store: 410-266-0818. My name is Dan.

Dan,

That sounds cool, but a bit pricey. I was hoping to spend under $200. I'll call you....

I was under the impression that some brand will work. Like Infinity does all the sound for most Mitsu's, so you can add any Infinity CD changer.

At $300 it almost worth upgrading my Cassette player and getting a Cd changer at the same time.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

p.s. How much is the OEM CD changer ??

US A-spec also makes a changer, for about $350 installed by yoru local shop...

but if you are looking to spend less than $200 the only real way to go is to get an FM modulated changer, you know, with the separate control box.

Well the OEM 6 disc is almost $600
so that is out of the question,

I was really hoping to avoid the FM Modulator thing, I don't like the idea of a wired remote hanging around somewhere.

I think it's time to check Ebay, and I'll just get a new Tape Deck and a matching 6 disc,

Any recommendations ??!?!?
Sellers, affordable brands ??

clarion is pretty affordable

eclipse migh tbe online, can be had for a steal retail too nowadays, but the changers might still be expensive

pioneer would be the benchmark, an dif you knwo someone who works art best buy can get you teh radio and changer for a song.

you still listen to tapes? may as well get a cd player and a changer, youd be surprised how nice it is to have both....
