crossovers
Hey
I'll soon be done with my system, and now I need to find a crossover. But, I don't really know what to look for in a crossover. From what I've heard it's better to get an active crossover, rather than a passive one. What else should i look for in a crossover? Could you recommend some good (not too pricey) ones??
Thanks in advance

make sure you have adjustable frequencies instead of fixed ones.
there will be a dial that you can adjust so that it will sound good to you rather than a fixed frequency usually 80hz low pass/high pass
get at least a 2way so you can control your door spks and your sub
mtx is good if you are short on cash

What are you using the crossover on? Component set? Coaxials and subs? Are you using an amp on the speakers? What kind of equipment are you using? Answer these and I'll give you a few ideas.

well i currently have three 10" subs running at around 1000watts. I just bought my Alpine SPR-176A components and Alpine SPR-694A 6by9's. I will soon be buying two 2-channel amps to power the comps and the 6x9's. I would just like to have my system sound as clean as possible. And as of right now, my subs are picking up frequencies which they aren't supposed to.
