Connecting Crossovers?????

Hey everyone. My new JL Audio XR component set comes with two crossovers. I know how everything connects, but I have a quick question on where I should put the crossovers. I built a mount on the back of my back seat to mount my Kenwood KAC-849 4ch amp and I want to mount the crossovers on the back panel with the amplifier. I don't know if there is any concern with length of wire, etc. I will have to run the +/- wires for both tweeters and mids all the way back to the trunk and I am willing to do that. I could always connect the crossovers closer towards the front, which will use less wire, but I want the crossovers by the amp for show. Will this work, or should I mount the crossovers closer up to the speakers?

Doesn't matter either way. You will have to run more speaker wire,
but that is the only differance.
