I have a 12" Eclipse Aluminum in a 1.0 cu ft box sealed.

I power it w/ a Kicker 400.1 thats 400rms and 800max.

I have the gain up all the way.

How much would I benefit from a Kicker 600.1 or possibly the 1200.1 (but I think it would be too much) ????

I prefer the Kicker's to keep the install pretty.

lets assume the laws of physics hold and there is 100% efficiency here.

the 600.1 gains you ~.5 dB of additional music power (measures ~1 dB higher on a meter)

the 1200.1 gains you ~2 dB of additional power output (it will measure ~4 dB higher on a meter)

as to it SOUNDING different, i would assume that teh 1200.1 will sound infinitely louder and better, due to 2 reasons:

#1 more power, drive the amp less, drive the radio less, cleaner output.

#2 yoru gain here is up all teh way, kinda the same as #1 but really specific to amplifier clipping and stress, lests you REALLY go easy on teh amplifier.

it might be a waste of power, at least comparitively, but the performance benefits i personally believe (especially after ssellign teh 400.1) will be well worth the monetary cost.
