RMS wattage of stock Pioneers
I have a canadian Si.. which is to say american EX
6x9's in the back
6 1/2's in the front
tweeters in the doors
does anybody know the RMS wattage that these can handle? cause im buying an amp, and wont be upgrading the speakers right away
thanks.. but if nobody knows i guess i can always just call up honda

it would allright to amp them with 200wrms each..but keep it resonable..the cones will distort a little before you put enough power through them to melt the VC's...
Do you think it will sound any better? I've been running my speakers off teh Pioneer HU, but I have a 4 channel amp, and i'm only using 2 channels. I pln on gettign speakers, but haven't gotten around to it. It wouldn't hurt anything to amp them, right?

im planning on hooking them up to a 75x4Watt RMS amp (Memphis MB17)..
so, as long as i dont turn up the volume too high, i should be ok?

I just got some new interconnects. I'm actually really excited to do this, I don't know why i didn't think it before. I've just been wasting half my amp the entire time. I got some more spiral wire loom to make everything neater too!! The best part is, if i blow the stock speakers, there's even more reason to get new ones!!!!!! Now comes eh search for new speakers, I'll probably be getting cheper Coaxials, stuck between Infinity 652i [how well do they fit] and Polk EX365s. I'll work on that later [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
