it would allright to amp them with 200wrms each..but keep it resonable..the cones will distort a little before you put enough power through them to melt the VC's...

Do you think it will sound any better? I've been running my speakers off teh Pioneer HU, but I have a 4 channel amp, and i'm only using 2 channels. I pln on gettign speakers, but haven't gotten around to it. It wouldn't hurt anything to amp them, right?

it might sound a little better...just don't push the speakers too hard or they'll pop

I just got some new interconnects. I'm actually really excited to do this, I don't know why i didn't think it before. I've just been wasting half my amp the entire time. I got some more spiral wire loom to make everything neater too!! The best part is, if i blow the stock speakers, there's even more reason to get new ones!!!!!! Now comes eh search for new speakers, I'll probably be getting cheper Coaxials, stuck between Infinity 652i [how well do they fit] and Polk EX365s. I'll work on that later

I'm selling two sets of Boston Acoustics 5 1/4 RX 57's, and two sets of Sony Mobile ES 5 1/4 components....the sony's have custom made mounting plates to fit in both the rear 6x9 slot, and mounting rings for the 6 1/2 spots in the door....they were installed in my car for a couple months...rears never used, since i only had a 2 channel amp...PM me for more info on them...i'm also selling a PPI PC250 (2x50W 4ohm)
