Let me know if this sounds right

I'm about to install an Alpine 4 channel 50 watt amp. Let me know if these steps sound right, or if I'm missing anything. I know there is a DIY out on this, but I just want to make sure I have it down right. Thanks a bunch. I'm mounting the amp under my seat, and my HU is connect using a custom wiring harness, and I'm only powering 2 fronts and 2 rears, no sub.

1) Disconnect (-) battery post, connect power wire from (+) post and feed wire through firewall and connect to amp.
2) Remove HU (Sony CDX M730), and from the HU's wiring harness find blue remote turn on wire, cut, splice with remote turn on wire for the amp, and connect to amp.
3) From the stock wiring harness, find the proper speaker wire colors for front/rear +/-, cut, splice with aftermarket speaker wire, and connect to respective amp speaker connections.
4) Connect preamp outs from HU to RCA inputs on amp for fronts and rears.
5) Connect ground wire from amp to solid metal contact.
6) Connect (-) battery post terminal.
7) Connect inline fuse.

Does this sound right?

Thanks! Anyone mount an amp under the passenger seat? Any problems or issues with it? Want to make sure before I drill holes.

you gotta take the seat out, and when you take the seat out you gotta unplug some wires, that will set off the srs light on your dash, theres a diy somewhere on how to reset the light.
