URGENT! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Here's the problem. I just finished installing my audio system in my car. I got a new deck, amp, and a 12" sub. After I put in my deck and turn on the car, I turn on the lights. The problem: the lights inside of the car don't turn on, but the lights outside do. What's the problem here? Why aren't the lights in the dash working? How can I fix this? Please help me!!!! This is very urgent!

Yeah, it's probably the fuses. You might wanna make sure you didn't wire anything backwards or have the ground wire touching something bad...

okay you guys, I checked the fuses, and I haven't seen one fuse that's broken. I looked in my owner's manual to see what a broken fuse looks like, so I already know what it looks like. maybe i should check each and every one of the fuses, just to make sure. in the meantime, could there be any other reason why my dash lights went out? thanks for all your posts.

Besides a cut wire, the only reason your interior lights are all out is the fuse. Which fuse box did you check?

I checked both fuse boxes, but I guess I wasn't checking the right fuses. Because I really don't know what else isn't working except my dash lights. I'm about to go check all the fuses, and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Does your tail lights work and the AC adapter or cigarette light? If they don't then its fuse realated. Other then that disconnet the power wire from the battery does the lights turn on.

its possible that if you're talking ONLY about the lights which are just on the center console (heat/vents/AC/etc)

you might have forgotten to plug in the molex connecters again after you removed it to put in the head unit

I didn't turn down the dimmer all the way, how do I know this, I checked, and my taillights, parking lights, and lights for the gauges don't work. I still didn't check the fuses, but I will sometime tonight.

I'm in the process of checking my fuses, and so far I don't see any fuses that are broken. I don't know how many people have ahd this problem, but I need a solution to this problem fast. For the past two nights I've been driving with only headlights and brake lights working. My taillights, parking lights, and instrument panel lights are gone. I'm just lucky that I didn't get pulled over yet, but I can't keep drivin down the freeway with people flashing their lights at me, warning me to turn my lights on. So if there's any way anyone can help me, please do, anyone is open to suggestions here. Thanks.

check out your owners manual they should have a list of what each fuse is and look for the one that says taillights and just replace it anyways.
