Wiring a circuit to active when the car turns on.

How would I go about creating a new circuit that is only active when the car is on? I don't want to tap another source in any way, so any help, or a website or whatever would be great.

Thanks,
Brandon

OK....I would still have to tap a connection that is powered when the car is on in order to make the relay create a connection. I want a new independent circuit that doesnt rely on another to activate.

Your going to need to tap into the ignition somewhere along the line ulness you can find something unused on the fuse box

har har, actualy, i'm not sure, thats why I asked. What I mean by not relying on another circuit, was I dont want to tap something like the cig lighter. The ignition idea was good....how exactly would I go about finding the correct wire? Would it just be easier to get the factory wiring diagram? And will honda even provide this?

whats wrong with wiring a relay into the lighter? an actual relay draws very minimal amounts of power.

If you dont want to tap off the lighter, the ignition is the black w/ yellow wire going into the top of the fusebox.

I just want to have a seperate fused power source that is independent. Suppose the cig lighter fuse blows, then what I have hooked up to the new circuit wont work untill I replace that fuse.
