The Re-Birth of my System...
well here's a couple of pictures of what I started to do this weekend and hope to finish by next weekend...
It was a pain in the A** I ran new wire soldered every connection damn it took long but it's coming out good the bad part is that Im nowhere close to finished...
here's my headunit Alpine CDA-9815...

My new processor Alpine PXA-H700 (Not released for sale yet)...

Here's my temporary monitor a CVA-1006 it will eventually be replaced with a IVA-D900...

All the gaps will be covered with fiberglass and body filler...
The trunk is next so stay tuned..

yes yes...whats the release date and msrp...A friend of my brother GAVE me a pioneer DEQ9200 for free, it's several hundred dollars elsewhere, main main problem, the thing only had 2 volt outputs.....2 volts!!! Lots and lots of hissssssssssssssss...hisssssss.....was very annoying, the alpine you have with 4 volt outs sounds very nice.......
the pioneer, i had in my old car for about 3 months before i took it out, i left college and left the thing under my bed, forgot all about it, the kid that moved into the house i was living in..... in my old room was an electrical engineering major, didn't know jack about car audio, took the pioneer 9200...said wow what is this....he cut the wires off......used the wires....and THREW OUT EVERYTHING ELSE......i could have killed him..plus he's a Cleveland Browns fan......

....to make matters worse.....
why oh why did i leave without that EQ, i could have sold it on ebay at the time for like $200.....don't even know the value now

now if you said bengals fan i could understand, but the browns are a team with a respectable history and hardcore fans!
as to the radio, dumb move on his part. but you did leave it and browns fans are normal when they're sober

I'm considering the 9815 head unit for my car. I've got a favor to ask - Could you look at it from about the angle I'd be looking at it in the factory location? I'm curious to see if you can see it any better than, for example, the 7894.

aldini it wasn't that hard to get the radio there the only thing that takes a little bit of work is making the brackets to mount it and tto get the radio straight...VTECH01EX, I'll look into the angle thing I'll compre both units and get back to you.

justheman, can you see your deck during the day? That's the only thing I don't like about Alpine's decks, and if it means I can see the display, I'll pop down the extra $100 over the 7894.
