Question White sheet protecting door/rear panel, do I dynamat over it or not?

As most of you know there is a white plastic sheet protecting panels when you remove the moldings around areas of Civic's. I drive a 2001 Civic Coupe and just want to know if I should remove the sheets and dynamat the panel or just dynamat over the sheets? Thanks.

you take the plastic off first. the idea is to mass load the panels. make the resonating panels as dead and motionless as possible
