Question about Sub setup

Hi
I own an 03 sedan

and would like to put in a sub that doesnt take up to much room in the trunk, but just gives a little bit of thump. i listen to rap and techno.

I dont want to take out the factory cd player, i just like the way it looks and fits well.
How can i put in a subwoofer and an amp with the leats amount of tearing up the dash.

Can someone suggest the best setup for me, which amp and sub, and how to wire it in?
I heard someone say something about going under the car, for the amp power?
any help would be really aprecaited, I read everypost on this site, and could not find what i was looking for

thanks.

Tap into your rear speakers and use an amplifier with line level inputs, and get whichever sub you prefer, a 10, a 12, whatever you like... For space saving mount the amp onto the back seat

Many will argue that the vibrations will damage your amp if you mount it to the box and putting screws in your box... ewwww... You COULD DO IT especially as you dont' seem to care much about the SQ you are more interested in your car, go ahead... I have never done that though can't tell you much about it...

Power to the amp I ran it through the passenger's side, just go to a shop if you are worried about tapping into your car, for $25 they can run your power and then you just wire it up to the amp.

The remote wire is not needed for most line level input amps, it just picks up the signal from the speaker wire.

Ground obviously, you have to ground it to a metal in your car

I don't know what stores are by your neighborhood, Circuit City, Best Buy, Good Guys, small audio shops search the Yellow Pages

EDIT: Passenger's side not driver's side

No if you do it like that you'll be hooking it up via RCA so you'll need a remote wire. You need an amp that will take the line level inputs itself. my JBL P80.4 takes line input and doesn't need a remote wire, so I would imagine that the JBL 600.1 also does, check that one out @ ikesound.com or something cuz crutchfield is overpriced. Your best bet is to go to The good Guys and actually look at the amps themselves...
