Sub makes trunk vent flap open?

ok, i have a sub in the trunk and when i turn it up, i hear rattling that sounds as though it's coming from the side of the trunk....

i know that on each side of the car, behind where the bumper is, there is a vent w/ rubber flaps....

you can hear the flaps if you try closing your doors....

anyways, what do you people do about that sound when you have a sub in the trunk? do you hear it at all? is it even the vents that cause that sound?

i don't think the vent is accessible from inside the trunk...

the vent is located outside the car, where the side part of the bumper is....

and i don't think i can just stick a towel in there...it'll plug up the even, right?

Of course it's accessable from the trunk, how could it be venting the trunk if it wasnt? just take the side carpeting out of the trunk and you'll see it. On a side note, wtf is the purpose of that vent?

theres only 1 in there, on the driver's side, at least in my car... and ludlam also posted a thread about it, and did a DIY on glassing over it.... you can find it using the search button, or going through a couple of pages.... then you'd have a picture of it from inside the trunk so you'll know what you're looking for...
