looking for a nice amp for my speakers...
ok, I'm still a newbie to car audio, and am just getting started on my entertainment package.
I purchased Infinity Kappa speakers,
Front: 62.5i (75 watts RMS, 4 ohms)
Rear: 692.5i (110 watts RMS, 4 ohms)
I have a Pioneer DEH P9400MP, which put out 20 watts RMS, so these suckers are gonna need some juice!
my question is, where could i find a nice 4 channel amp to power these? or two 2 channel amps.... etc.
I was looking at JL's stuff, VERY expensive, but they make a nice 300/4 amp (75 watts/channel) and a 450/4 amp (75 watts on channels 1 & 2, and 150 watts on channels 3 & 4).
i would like to power these speakers as close to RMS as possible without exceeding; i don't want to forfeit clean power.
any recommendations/suggestions? thanks for your time

sorry, i didnt look, i thought it was Mo. but anyway, why do you recommed that, wouldnt that be underpowering them? isnt underpowering lead to distortion? this has me totally confused
i dunno, everyone experience is different, but in my experience, i have had endless problems with kappa cone flex. they couldnt even take 40 rms at full tilt without the cone sustaining a standing wave. much less 85 from my earthquake amp.
you may find you have a different experience, especially with the 6.5's
but i wouldnt be surprised if you get poor bass response with power fron your 6x9's.
as to underpowering speakers, I wouldnt worry abotu that at all. I wouldnt even wory about overpowering them, feed em 200 rms if you want, if you tune properly, youll be fine.
however, why spend $500 on a JL 4 channel amp? the amplifier doesnt match the equipment. youd be paying a huge price for the speakers to be unable to match teh quality of that power.
whereas, something like an earthquake or soundstream, or hifonics Z series, or that JBL amp is much more closely matched, and much more affordable.
