Rep Power: 0 How much FatMat?
Hey everyone, I have alot of rattles in my car and I want to buy some fatmat, preferably off ebay. These people on ebay are selling 100ft for $99 with the tools to install it. I think that is too much though. I want to cover most of my trunk, the underside of the trunk, and around the sides. In the passenger compartment, I want to cover most of the area under the rear quarter panels, and the door panels. How much do you all think I will need to totally cover the areas I mentioned with FatMat? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Rep Power: 305 Your probably gonna need about 100 sq. feet to cover the whole car, and $99 is the normal retail price for Fatmat with tools....it's an excellent price. Dynamat Extreme is $250 for 36 sq. feet, and its virtually the same thing. Fatmat is the least expensive of all the deadeners.
I ordered mine today, hopefully it should be here soon. I got 200 sq. feet....gotta double layer my car.

Rep Power: 0 the trunk floor don't bother deadening it's thick *** sheetmetal and won't resonate. The trunk lid, rear deck, sides of the trunk, and your front doors are all that need to be done to eliminate almost all resonating.. Actual rattles have nothing to do with panel deadening Itas everything to do with 2 peices like a body panel and some sheetmetal coming into contact. For that's it's more tricky to get rid of

Rep Power: 0 Just curious for those who have already done their whole car, how long did it take you and was it difficult applying the insulation, or is the hard part just getting access to all the areas needed to be covered?
