Okay so hear is the plan
Right now I have an amp connected to my subs that is tapped off the highs...I just won an auction for a head unit so I want to wire up the interior speakers to the amp as well...It is a four channel amp so don't worry...To get the speaker wire from the front of the car to the rear I am going to splice the existing front speaker wires to the existing rear speaker wires...I am then going to cut the speaker wire in the trunk and use existing wires the wires that once when to the head unit that are now spliced into the front speakers to get the signal from the amp to the front door speaker and then just run new wire to connect the rear speaker to the amp...Just this sound like it sound work or should I run new wire from the front speakers back while I'm running the RCAs?

Not a good plan..the Speaker wires in the car are 18 or 20 guage. too small to support a reasonable amount of power. Better off buying 35-ft of cheap 16 ga wir. It'll do the trick.

Thanks dude thats what I was thinking but a friend of mine told me that doing it that way was easier...The only problem i can for see is that for right now (until I get my tax refund) I will be running with the stock speakers up front and I was wondering how to connect the speaker wire to the stock speaker connections....I will have to use at least a little of the factory wire and would that defeat the purpuse of using higher gage wire everywhere else....Just thinking out lound....This is the first time I'm wiring speaker but I have done sub amp installs and aftermarket head unit installs....What would you recomend I use to splice together the wire? Quick connects????

Just splice the factory wiring. When I frst got the civic I didn't have the time for a proper install. So I hthrew in the Cerwin Vega HED co-ax's I had installed my blaupunkt amp as a temp to hold me off and Ran 16 guage to the HU, and used the OEM wires from the HU into the doors.

cool dude one more question then i'll leave you alone...Since I'm using RCAs and nothing is going to be connected the the speaker outputs from the head unit do I need to cap them to advoid them grounding out or will the head unit not send power there after the RCAs are plugged in....I know it sounds stupid But I done wanna screw up the head unit...Or is it nothing to worry about?

Okay so here is the revised plan. I'm going to run the speak wire from the doors down the center of the car the power is currentally run down the driver side and the RCAs are going to be run down the passanger side. I'm crimping the headunit speaker outputs right behind the head unit so they don't ground out....Thanks everyone who helped out esp mowhawkboom
