DIY: Building an Enclosure using MDF and Fiberglass
Okay... So this is gonna be a loooooooooooooooong DIY... and i figured i'd take Lots and lots of pictures so i dont get stupid questions later...
Also, I've got school and such to worry about so i really don't have time to make this a quick one, so this will be a nice 1-2 month project (whiterabbit thinks it'll take longer)
So lets start with what you need:

you need fiberglass, i have a roll of it.

you need Resin to use with the fiberglass

you also need hardener to go with the resin
You can also use a bunch of other little accessories to make your life easier, I'll put a link up with a directory of pictures of everything
You also need wood, tools, screws, stuff like that, pictures in the directory...
Mad pictures.... skim through the directory

Alright... first thing I did was make a new floor for my trunk

i traced that out with the old trunk carpet
NOTE: it wont fit in one piece, you must cut it, I will later show you what I did when i cut it
************************************************** *******************
Next, i needed to make a frame for the fiberglass tub that will be on the bottom of my enclosure, like so:

I still need to make one slight modification to the frame, and my trunk is cluttered with crap, when i do so i'll repost a pic with an empty trunk and the finished product for the frame
************************************************** *******************
alright, now for some FUNNNNNNNNNN
ok, so the frame up above is gonna become like a nice fiberglass bathtub
so heres what we do if we want it to be removable...

you put nice amounts of aluminum foil on the floor of your trunk, so the glass sticks to the foil and not the car.
from there, pop in your frame

now we start for real

i used a hot glue gun to get the weave to stay on the frame while still dry, and make sure to cover every area

now i put resin on my first layer there, added small pieces of weave in random places, and i left my car in my driveway with all my windows and my trunk open for a good few hours, if not, your car will stink to all hell for a good week.
few hours later, i went outside to pop the frame out, heres what i have.

tomorrow im gonna start loading up layer after layer of glass to this tub, until i can give it the elephant test (i stand on the sucker and it doesnt even flex)
