New Thump In The Trunk...
i am finally replacing my system....
here's the specs:
pioneer premier 640 HU (installed tonight)
V-Tech Single Sub Box (being installed tomorrow)
V-Tech RIP Hammer 10" (tomorrow)
JL Audio 500 D-Class Amp (being installed tomorrow)
lightning audio 4 ga. wire (power and ground)
lightning audio patch cables
lightning audio 12 ga. speaker wire
should i get a 1 farad digital top cap as well?
will be customing in an equalizer into the dash under the hu once i decide to re-amp the surrounds
i already got a fosgate component system installed up front, and alpine type-r's in the rear
but what you all think of the sub and amp choice? the guy at the store guarantees i'll hit at least 135-140 db..

actually v-tech subs have been out a while, but they arent that popular in the spl comps or anything, anyway, they are really impressive, at least to me... a friend of mine had 6 v-t orignial hammers in his lowrider pu, and was putting out around 170-180 dB if i remember correctly... here is a link to their site too ...

i will find out from him the exact numbers, i said if i remember correctly, which this was over 3 years ago, when they were first introduced around here, i can barely remember last week for christ's sake, but i will find out the correct numbers for you, if i can locate him in the next couple o days...
never heard of v-tech subs. Theres alot of good brands out though that "ALOT" of people aren't familiar with. Were you able to listen to them? or did you just see them? Let us know how they sound in the ride?
Mike Jones from Lubbock, Texas holds the record. He has 9 Digital Design 15" subs, and 9 Crossfire amps. Digital Designs Custom Sound Works
He kicks out around 175 dB FYI
