Rep Power: 0 Lights dim with my sub
Ok ... I have a sub installed in my car but the lights dim when I put it decently loud ... I read the post about "what a capacitor does" but it didnt answer all my questions ...
1)What is considered slight dimming ??? or heavy dimming ???
-When I say mine dims ... the dash and headlights dim ... slightly ... I'd say ... no where near that they look like there gonna go out ... but it is noticeable by me.
2) Should I get a capacitor ??? and if I do I dont know where to start to get one that will suit my needs (in other words I dont wanna spend alot of $$$ and how BIG of one should I get ?)
Basically, my sub is 1 12" ... my amp is a Kenwood KAC model ... (I think 220watts per channel if that helps)
3) What size capacitor do I need and how much should that run me ... in Canadian dollars please.

PS am I damaging my alternator or over stressing it when it dims like that ... I had the same system set up in my '99 Accord ... it dimmed too but I never put a cap on ... everything seemed fine with that one ... and battery never "deep cycled"
