I am trying to decide where to go with my system. I already have a dvd player (see signature) but no screen. it will play DVD-Audio, Dolby Digital, DTS all the good stuff and i was going to do surround sound in my car. here is my problem. I have access to one of the sweetest CD players ever, the Denon DCT-Z1 and because i work for Rockford i can also get our Pro Logic II processor for cheap (as well as MB Quart speakers). This will still give me 5 channel sound from 2 channel sources. This is what pro logic II is designed for. So the quesion is do i put a movie theatre on wheels in there or do i go with possibly the best sounding deck ever and go all out for 5 channel sound quality?

what i usually tell people, is that when you get THAT high end, its all a mix of psychoacoustics and install... the product starts to matter less...

are you going to compete in sq? if not then stick with the dvd

Not going to compete. I used to compete in SPL. I had a dvd and a screen in my mustang and used it twice. I would mostly use it for dvd audio and music in dts. thanks for all your input guys.

Home theater on wheels.. to actually benefit from the Denon's SQ all other components in yur car would have to be equally top end and you'd spend a few thousand bucks on installation alone to notice the SQ difference..

Go witht he home theater on wheels and run MBQ Q series or the model one below (PSD's?) in all 4 corners and mount a 4.5" mid in the dash..it'll be the right height for center channel [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
