Need help with electrical concerns
I am in the process of installing my system and I would like to get your input on it. Primarily I am concerned about my ability to run all this stuff on a stock alternator. Yes, I have search and read what was posted here but I would like to have answers specific to my case.
System:
1 Soundstream D'artagnan amp (65x5@4ohm(12v) + 500x1@1ohm(14.4v))
1 pair MB Quart RSC 216 6.5" 2-way components
1 pair MB Quart DTC 169 6x9 3-way speakers
3 jl 8w6 subs @ 1 ohm
1 Alpine 7897 HU
What I am wondering about specifically is any concerns I should be aware of with the stock electrical system.
Thanks in advance.

the only reccomendation I'd have on this is to upgrade your battery to ground wire, and your alternator to battery wire to at least 4 guage. And get some good quality battery terminals and you'll be more than fine
If the lights dim for a sec then go back to normal, your alt. is fine, it just dims till the regulator kicks in. If the lights dim. and stay dimmed till the bass note is finished, then the alt. can't keep up and is being taxed. The easiest way to check is to play a test tone at night with the lights on against a garage door, or something of that nature. Remember, when you are using your accesories, you will be pulling more current from the alt. than you would during the day with no lights on, etc. Also, most alt. wont put out the rated power at idle. When doing the test tone check, you can verify this as well by revving the motor.
If your lights dim. till the regulator kicks in, you can fix this with a cap that has a low ESR.
