Drawing type of program
Anyone know of a graphics type of program where you can design a box and "see" it before it's actually built. something like autoCAD but scaled down a bit
AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, and Solidworks are the ones I've used. Currently I'm running solidworks and I think that its the best CAD program available. Solidworks can show you mass using a certain material, density, volume, and all that good stuff.
If your looking for a good speaker building program then I would suggest Term-Pro. It lets you put all your speaker specs in and recommends the best type enclosure for your subs. Then it will spec a box for you and show it in Term-Cad which is their cad program. It still not cheap tho ($500) but its alot cheaper then autocad and its specific for what you want to do.
You can check it out on dB Drag Racing I Have used it and it works well. I have an original copy of it but it uses a security dongle which plugs into the parallel port on the pc, which is unfortunatly gone.
