I just bought a 2k2 civic (4dr).

I want to put in a real awesome stereo into the car. Right now it's just the factory speakers and cd player.

My budget is about 800 bucks CND.

I want a minidisc player, and some real nice subwoofers. Now i understand I also need a really good amplifier too..


I've seen some good minidisc players on e-bay going for about 150 bucks US.

I'll probably keep the speakers that I have, just to save money. Then maybe next summer sup those up too.

Any suggestions on the amp and subwoofers?

800CDN = ??? us get a good deck to start with then just keep building it up. find everything you want then save up and get each piece. dont buy something just to turn around and sell it for alot less. Ive lost a ton of money doing this

anyways I found a minidisc player on e-bay. Right now sitting about 57 bucks US..hahahah hope i get it....it's pretty good, I've checked the reviews on it, from other minidisc player sites.

There is a decent amp made by sony going for about 269 cnd, can't remember the model #, it's at futureshop.

As for speakers and subwoofer...hmmm what to do.... probably go with the 10" sub by panasonic also on futureshop they are about 100 bucks each. maybe get 2 of those.

any other suggestions on websites i can check out?

why waste your money on a whole bunch of low end crap when you are just going to be dissatisfied in the end. Just wait until you can afford nicer things or buy one nice thing right now and wait.

ya man.... step up and buy some better stuff.... make sure u buy a HU with subwoofer out...... and sony amps.... from what i hear from everyone else..... they aren't that great..... they blow easily.

800 US is no kind of budget for a system.. let alone 800 CDN.. save up i'd say just upgrade the HU right no if you gotta change something.
