RCA Y-adapter with LOC sound quality???
my bro has a cheap HU lying around (PIONEER DEH-P33) that only has 1 pair of RCA outputs. im thinkin of puttin that in while i save money for my deck. my problem is im going to run a 2ch and a 4ch amp. with only 1 set of outputs i was thinking i could use Y-adapters and split it, making 2 outputs for the 4ch amp...while i use a line output converter for the 2ch amp. the only hesitation i have is that i dont know how good the sound quality is.
anyone know if the quality of this setup will sound "average"?
is the split with the Y-adapters in any way going to put two much of a load on the deck or anything else?
or will it not have the same amount of power coming out of it?
multi-amp...where should i wire BOTH remotes? i read that wiring more than 1 to the HU will risk burning out the turn-on or power antenna circuit. but it says connecting a relay will solve the problem. how much is a relay and how easy to install (any wires)?
or should i just put 1 remote on HU and 1 on the cig?
still a newbie wen it comes to DIYing and alot of other stuff...THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL HELP!!!

Using Y adapters is plenty okay..you can wire 2 amps to 1 remote wire without any worries....Do not use a line output converter..using 2 sets of Y adapters will still give you better sound quality.

with that answered, is this wiring ok?
if i have 1 set of RCAs going to the trunk and input of the 2ch, then have the Y-adapters coming out of the 2ch and run RCAs from that onto the 4ch?
that way i will have less wire hiding to do, instead of attaching the adapters to the HU, then route 3 SETS OF RCAs to the trunk!!!
i wont even know if thats possible, will the door sill even hold that many wires?!?!
THANX AGAIN!!!

oh, the sill will hold that many wires... im a testament to that one
drivers side : 3 sets of big ol stinger rca's, 2 sets of 12 gauge monster speaker wire...
passenger side, 4 gauge power, 2 remote wires, 2 other 12 volt lines....
and i still got room... soon theres gonna be another 4 gauge back there

sorry its still not really clear to me yet
should i run 1 set to the trunk then split to both amps....or run 1 set into the 2ch then hook up the Y on the output of the 2ch.
the 1st way i will have to buy 4 Y's and 4 RCAs...but the 2nd setup i will only need 2 Y's and 3 RCAs
the only uncertainty i have about the 2nd setup is that i dont know if the 2ch OUTPUT can handle the split for the 4ch
also...since u mentioned 1/0 guage...whats so special about it, cuz it costs alot!!! pic?
