running wire for speaker-level input

I installed a 4 channel amp the other day to power all the speakers in my car. I know everbody says to keep RCA wires away from the power and ground, but does the power and ground effect Speaker wire when using speaker level inputs? Thanks!

Yes, it does.

However, I run my power and RCA and speaker wires down the center console and under the rear seat. I don't have any distortion or feedback whatsoever. It's weird because I would never do it until I just ran them together to see if it would work and then I was going to re-wire them but it works without a problem so why bother.
