bought a new HU, how do i install it?...
i just ordered the pioneer deh-7400mp mp3/cd player from www.onlinecarstereo.com, anyways, i was wondering how do i install it?
i just ordered it today, so i will be getting it by the end of the week hopefully, but i have no clue how to take the old unit out. are there any
DIY's around, with pics? i searched, but came up empty ( search never finds anything for me for some reason )
i went to a local shop and bought a dash kit ( metra ) and a wiring harness, but when i asked them if they have instructions on how to remove
the old unit, the guy said they dont use instructions, its all in there heads ( oh brother, that helps )
someone told me on another forum that i have to remove all the plastic around the shifter to remove the old unit, but this didn't make much
sense to me.
a DIY or decent explaination would be appreciated.
