Will I have enough clean power?
I am wanting to get the Alpine 7894 and the Alpine MRP-F200 amplifier.
I am going to run Mb Quart PSD 216s in the front and a pair of the cheaper quarts in the rear.
Between the HU and the amp will I have enough clean power to run all 4 speakers efficiently. Obviously, I like very bright treble. I value this and clarity over anything else. Will this combo do it for me or should I step up to the next higher alpine amp?
Also, I will be installing all this myself. Can some recommend a nice wiring kit(s) that will include everything I need to to install all of the componets? Phoenix Gold would be preferred.
Man! I am a n00b at this stuff.

It's enough power, But MB Q's are a little power hungry so It won't get too loud..but will play clean to pretty high listening levels... Installation wise. Just an 8 Guage amp wiring kit and and some good RCA's will do. For the speakers a 1/2" Spacer will be plenty if you also use the speaker ring ..1/8"...

Thanks Mo. I have had a couple sets of quarts in the past. I left them in the cars when I sold them though.
I transferred my amp twice and then let it go. It was an alpine and I can't remember its specs. It was very old though. Lasted a good 6 yrs.
I do remember it got a little distorted when I turned it up loud. You got to have some juice with the windows down and cruising along at 50-60mph.
I guess I may wait and see if I can't buy the next one up with some more power. YOu think that mrp series is of high-quality or should I step up. I am a **** about my treble being bright, loud, and crystal clear.
Oh, I have a feeling I am going to need some help when I go to install this stuff so I could become a nusance (sp?)....

You should scrounge extra cash then...skip rear speakers entirely..get the MBQ Premiums ($269 shipped from onlinecarstereo) and get a good 100+ Wrmsx2 amp..you'll be way more than happy

The PSD 216s I linked off to are the premiums for $220. Unless you are saying that I should step up to the top-line Qm series. What brand of amp is that. "Wrmsx2" is just a bunch of letters to me...LOL I'll put it in google or something and check it out. It would be a feat to get me to buy something other than alpine though.
Oh, the reason I had to keep leaving my speakers was because I had the tweeters placed in the doors beside door handle and across from the air vent. Looks good but I don't think is too good for listening. tweet is to close so you hear one louder than the other. Plus, if you remove them you have holes in the door and mb tweets are kinda big so no cheap replacement to throw in. So, I was thinking of using a piece of metal to simply mount the tweet over the woofer. Is this the best spot or what? seems like I have heard that the further away the speakers are the more you get a centered listening experience.

Wrms is watts RMS(root mean square) Or constant output power ..
Mounting the tweets in the kickpods may be a great idea.. Mounting them in under the speaker grill in the door pod might not get you the sound you want.. Your knee will be absorbing alot of sound. Also the plastic ring inside the door pod will cause alot of sound refraction and might cause some harsh peaks.or dips.. Might not though..but in many cases it does..
