whole system?
Well my sub/amp (something there as im not getting bass anymore) is not working, so im thinking of replacing just about everything I have
Currently I have Diamond Audio M561 components in the front (the tweeter on the left side isnt 100%, its kinda quiet)
Lightning Audio S4.600 (possibly has a problem, ill find out later today)
1 JL 12W6 DVC (which isnt doing anything now, so not sure if its blown or if its my amp)
JVC SH-99 HU
What I would like is two subs in the back, two speakers in the back, components in the front, and probably going to have two amps to power that. I would like to spend less than 1300 if possible. Anyone have any ideas on what a good setup would be that would cost about that?

The components might be wired wrong..or you have your amps Low pass on for that channel. If the subs blown and the amps still hooked up..chances are you blew the amp too. Also, how did you have it wired?. Your amp might just be in protection, in which case, you have to diconnect the ground for about 5 minutes to reset it...
$1300 for all that is kinda low..i'd be hard to get quality stuff for that much. Amp wise, a JBL 600.1 goes for $185 on ebay. skip rear speakers..get better components..and a good amp for them. Maybe some JL audio XR's and a 300/2 amp or something else.. subs..low cost good subs are Alpine Type R's and they'll take the power from the JBL amp... Shop around and price things dude..

I have two Pioneer IMPP 12s in the trunk and I'm more than happy with them. I'm even pushing them with a crappy 400W Crunch Amp. I just want the extra bass and not my whole car to rattle, so I'm happy about that. I have another Crunch amp pushing my interior speakers. I'll install the tweeters when I get back along with the JVC SH-909 Hu I just bought. I think that'll be enough to make me happy.

MohawkboomI unplugged the power like you suggestion and now it works. You wouldnt happen to know what would cause that (when it died I was still in my drive way and the music wasnt even half of what I normally listen to it at)?

Maybe. Its odd, cause I have had the amp shut down on me before on really hot days after driving for 25 minutes, but it was this morning and I had just turned on the car. Oh well, its fixed now so that saves me from spending a bunch of money now which most of I dont have to spend right now
Thanks for your help.

Ok so my sub isnt working again. So I was thinking about getting the Type R's because they are about the same as the Infinity's and I assume they are better. However, will two of them takes a JBL1200 or would a 600 be enough?

with a jbl1200.1 you might have to start looking into some new alternator action..., i think someone on here has one with the stock electrical, but they have it at 4 ohms, so its only running at 600... if youre gonna be below 4 ohms, get the 600 just for safety precautions, you can get it for 208 at ikesound.com...

That probably would be better anyways, cheaper at least. Anyone have any comparisons on the alpine type rs and the infinty perfects?

The Type R's in their reccomended small ported enclosure sound pretty awesome..and can handle about 500Wrms without worries if you hae a subsonic filter..otherwise I wouldn't play music with really low bass at too higha volume or you'll bottom out the woofers..
