Check it out.. SAS Bazooka TVB-141 triangular-shaped sub w/box. For those of you that haven't heard these, they sound GREAT! Much better sound than the Rockford Fosgate 10" I was using. And get this...the list price is $199, but I got it "open-box" at Circuit City for $129. Not bad for retail. I know what some of you are thinking...A TRIANGLE SUB?WTF? Believe me..it rocks.

My only problem now is that my Orion Cobalt235 amp isn't really pushing it. So, I'm looking around for a good sub amp and found this one: US Acoustics USX-2080. (280 watts x 1 in bridged mode). I think that'll do it.

aw, c'mon, it sounds excellent and doesn't take up much room.

Everything in a catalog/website looks good until you actually get a chance to hear it! 2002EXCpe, i suggest you check it out at CC before you consider buying to see if it's what you need. I like it a lot so far. Now I have to find a buyer for the old 'fosgate 10 that's now collecting dust.

yeah Bellz i just picked it up last week and you were right, this thing rocks!!!

i just have a question or two if ya dont mind...

1-its 200watt rms and 400 watt max, what should be the max power the amp i get ? i'm curently using a jensen 350watt turned up like 3/4 of the way...

2-what is the best frequency to set it for on the crossover that the alpine 9815 has built in? i have it set for 44 or 50 i believe, but i wanna make sure i dont have anything set too far off...

thanks for the suggestions, and thanks for the info!

Ohhh god..... Please get rid of that amp... lol.. I guess its probably not that terrible but you would get a lot more out of anything but a jensen amp. I just don't like jensen stuff at all. The Max power really doesn't matter, the RMS rating is what is important. You want an amp that pushes as close to 200 watts rms as possible. Even 300 watts RMS probably wouldn't hurt. Just be careful with the gains up so high on that jensen amp, you don't want it to start clipping. And for the crossover, do you mean the Low pass filter?

Fletchman04 is on a distinguished road
go with a D-class amp such as a memphis 250D or mtx 350D. they are much more efficent and the power is amazing compared to the old Kenwood 600 i was using. the D-series amps stay much cooler. they are definitely worth the money

Most inexpensive mono amps are D series.

300 is ok as long as you don't turn the gains up too high. Just listen for distortion or clipping and you should be fine
