Got a new I.C.E. toy!
Check it out.. SAS Bazooka TVB-141 triangular-shaped sub w/box. For those of you that haven't heard these, they sound GREAT! Much better sound than the Rockford Fosgate 10" I was using. And get this...the list price is $199, but I got it "open-box" at Circuit City for $129. Not bad for retail. I know what some of you are thinking...A TRIANGLE SUB?WTF? Believe me..it rocks.
My only problem now is that my Orion Cobalt235 amp isn't really pushing it. So, I'm looking around for a good sub amp and found this one: US Acoustics USX-2080. (280 watts x 1 in bridged mode). I think that'll do it.

Everything in a catalog/website looks good until you actually get a chance to hear it! 2002EXCpe, i suggest you check it out at CC before you consider buying to see if it's what you need. I like it a lot so far. Now I have to find a buyer for the old 'fosgate 10 that's now collecting dust.
yeah Bellz i just picked it up last week and you were right, this thing rocks!!!
i just have a question or two if ya dont mind...
1-its 200watt rms and 400 watt max, what should be the max power the amp i get ? i'm curently using a jensen 350watt turned up like 3/4 of the way...
2-what is the best frequency to set it for on the crossover that the alpine 9815 has built in? i have it set for 44 or 50 i believe, but i wanna make sure i dont have anything set too far off...
thanks for the suggestions, and thanks for the info!

go with a D-class amp such as a memphis 250D or mtx 350D. they are much more efficent and the power is amazing compared to the old Kenwood 600 i was using. the D-series amps stay much cooler. they are definitely worth the money
ok so looks like i'm getting a D series amp! lol thanks guys!!!!
and about the crossover, i dont mean the low pass filter on the amp, i mean the crossover thats built into my alpine HU...
