Easiest place to find ignition wire?
Easiest place to find ignition wire?
Help me,
I've installed a cheapo amp and bass shakers in my gf's 02 civic and need to know where I can find the >Igntion Power 12 Volts BLACK/YELLOW IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS< (thanks for that) . I see the big bundle of wire going up the column but was wondering if there were another option. FYI: I'm keeping the HU stock.
Also, are Civics pre-wired for changers or something? Whats the wires that just terminates in the passenger side of the trunk (under the rug just behind the small fold down seat)???
a quick reply would be appreciated!

crankin, in another post, you said you were a professional...... where do you work?
personal curiosity, cause the cig lighter was designed to take some current flow, is jsut as reliable, what is the advantage of messing with the steering column? ill leave the other thread alone for now.....

I havent checked on the cig socket yet, but:
I would assume the Ignition wire is fused somewhere, either under the hood or under the steering column. It might be alot easier to get a lead off the fuse block then opening the wire bundle I saw. [If you cant tell, I would prefer not to open that bundle of wires]
Would this information be in a Civic book?
I'm going to check out some stuff this evening.
