You should hide them in the trunk! Maybe on the back of the rear seat? Mount it behind the subwoofer box? Underneath the front seats? It's pretty hard to hide amps unless you cover them up somehow.

you could try a nice amp rack, or pop it under the floor somehow. If you have a sub in the trunk, i think it'd be safe to assume there's an amp around there too.

Ed,
what kind of amp rack did you have in mind? i wanted to do a custom amp rack that will mount on the top of the trunk, but i havent really studied or gave much thought about it. do you have a good layout or idea for me? im scared if i DIY i might run into alot of problems like 6x9 magnets in the way or the trunk rods and so on. i was thinkin of makin it a tray, so it can slide out for easy show and quick access to adjust.

I haven't really thought much abotu it, you could put it on the side like the other person said, or maybe you can use one of those keyboard type brackets that would alow it to slide in and out. I don't think mounting it upside down woudl be good without a fan, i imagine the cooling fins would not dissipate the heat well. You should just do a fiberglass thing on the side too.

i wasnt thinkin about mounting it upside down. i know about the heatsink and stuff. i was thinkin about somehow making brackets that will give the tray couple inches gap from the bottom of the rear deck and mountin the amps on top of the tray.

this thread leads me to a questions, im building a sub box which will look like the subs are just mounted to the floor but im building the whole floor up about 3 inches or so, so i can place 2 amps underneath the floor on the sides, my question is would the area underneath the new floor be too hot for the amps?
