im pretty excited i actually hooked up my cd player by myself it took awhile but im proud of myself. I'm a lil worried b/c i didnt connect the harness and cd player perfectly. I just used some splice connecters. Now some questions i have is i bought a metra wire harness from autozone for the 98-up hondas and it works but it has an extra orange wire, is that ok? and is their a mountin kit that just pops in around the cd player becuz i never bought one? Also how do you pop the first 2 screws back in?

Rep Power: 0 Don't worry about the orange wire it is for illumination, but you don' t need to hook it up, just make sure you cap it off. The dash kit you want is metra HONK-809 01+ civic kit. If you are refering to the two silver screws that you took out from under the radio, you would have had to put the metal cage from the factory radio back in. The the screws go back in the same holes you took them out of. If you strip them you can also use an 8mm socket. Any other ? just ask.

Rep Power: 0 i was talkin about the screws that u just pop off under the dash on the sides of the console. Also ive been listenin to my cd player and it doesnt sound too great. I wonder if its the connection between the cd player and wiring harness. I kinda did a half *** job. It also doesnt get very loud.

Rep Power: 0 It took me a while to figure out how to get those clips back in too. You have to pull the inner part out, install the clip, then push the inner part back in.
