Securing Sub Enclosure

I have a single 12 inch sub with my amp screwed to the back of the box. I am having a heck of a time securing the box. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well the floor is 1/4" HDF..you can use machine screws with nuts under the trunk board and use an L bracket to hold it down..

where is it in your trunk anyways. before you secure it yor should move it around and see where you get the best response and then if its not too much in the way secure it there. and because of vibration its not always the best idea to have your amp mounted to the box itself

I rebuilt my floor with 1/2" MDF not.. used 4 common hinges and made in 2 parts so I can get to my spare

Yukonart will become famous soon enough
Hey, Mowhawkboom. . . . did you just take your panel out, trace the shape onto the 1/2" MDF, and take a jigsaw to it?

Hmmm. . . my dad's got some 1/2 plywood sitting around. Could probably bum some off him and do the same. LOVE the hinged-panel idea. I was just starting to think of how I might configure my trunk once I get a sub in there!

A decent piano hinge might work well, too. Hmmm. . .got the gears in my head turning, now! Thanks!

Yeah thats a really good idea adding hinges...wonder why I didnt think of that awhile ago. Want to make a custom amp mount underneath the board too with plexiglass and all that too, hopefully there is decent room between the board and the spare tire.

plenty of space for a single small amp, but i wanted to fit more than 2 devices under there, so i needed to raise the floor 3 inches using L brackets and 1x3's.

but just about any 4 channel amp will fit under there, without raising the floor (or raising it much, some amps are taller than others )
