car alarm
must haves IMO are door sensors, shock sensors, keyless entry, and remote trunk popper.
usually that package will come with a blinking LED and light flashers as well.
this is an ungo alarm im quoting from BTW (clarion) and will cost $330 installed without the trunk popper.
trunk popper will be $35 extra if you already have the solenoid, and $180 more if you dont
the price will be about teh same if you go with a code alarm, too

I got a good clifford with door/window sensors, auto door locking, misc. shock sensors, keyless entry, LED for 189 installed. i have no use for the trunk popper since i dont use my trunk that much. oh well.
go by an accord latch has a solinoid built into it and is a direct bolt on for out latches ez to replace cost 37 bucks and can plug right in the wires for popping it. Don't ask how I had to find out it fits it was an upsetting story

My personal opinion by a DEI alarm, viper, sidewinder, python, clifford, or avital. They are the best alarms on the market, make sure you get a dual stage shock sensor, and if you are really concerned, a proximity sensor, and pager system.
1 thing YOU MUST GET is a battery backup, without it all someone has to do is drill through the hood and pop the battery and there's no power to the alarm meaning they can do whatever the heck they want. An alarm is useless without a batt backup. Also a mini piezo siren is good, it's basically a tiny siren that gets hidden somewhere in your interior and when the alarm is tripped it emits an extremely high pitched scream, making whoever happens to be in there want to either rip their own hair out (which is good because now you have DNA ) or get the hell out of your car ASAP. I also put a proximity sensor on mine which sounds a warning chirp if someone comes to close to my car and a full blown siren blast if anything moves inside the car. All this is added to my Clifford RS2 which I got at best buy (really cheap cuz I work there).
