The best speakers??? help

Yes I already did a search. In everyone's opinion here what is the best speakers for our cars without going wayout of the budget. I'm looking to replace the stock speakers with something a little better soon. I think the stock system sounds pretty good, but i want everything to come alive.

Well are you going to be using an Amp for the speakers?..
if so..how much power..?

You have alot of choices for speakers under $450..(reasonable..) and a good 100-150Wrm x 2 amp will do them nicely..

I just wanna replace the factory ones. thats all i wanna do, personally i don't like subs that much. For my tastes i think really good speakers can give me just enough bass as well as make everything else sound good. But thats me and what i like.

You can buy used MB Quartz components on ebay for under $140 (ebay auction). I went with some Boston Acoustic RC 620's they are also on ebay for under $150 (ebay auction)

I would definately get an amp... something that is like 200.4 or even 400.4 would be better, that is if you want to replace all of your interior speakers. If you do that then I would not put components in the back just stick with a less expensive 3way coax for filler sound..

IMO of course...

I'm a po college student, i gotta do one thing at a time..lol. I'll probably get a new cd HU in a few months. I'm just wanting to know what speakers people have in their car (that will fit) before i call crutchfield or go to the local car audio place. That way i'll know what im looking for when i go and know if im getting ripped or not.

I got Polk Audio EX602A co-axial, they're pretty good and not too expensive. They run fine without an amp.
