Fiberglass Texturing
I was looking in a magazine, and someone made a fiberglass panel and "textured then painted" it to look like one of the stock panels. It looked just like one of the stock peices. What would he have used to texture it?
ive never seen black, but there are many textured paints around, i used them for school projects all the time back in the day.
i didnt think it was the same stuff, but might be......
i duno, ive been working so hard to get my panesl DEAD flat, not textured, sounds like a cop-out to me... ;p

something else you can also try is to just wet the cloth, then not fill the weave. that will leave the weave of the glass as a texture.
I did this to both my trunk and deck panel, till i got tired of it and filled it, sanded it, clearcoated it, then waxed it. now its flat, smooth and SHIIIINY
