Mix Match question?
Mix Match question?
I have a question for anybody.
I have a 12" Kaption Audio sub powered by an Alpine amp. (mono)
I'm planning to buy a Rockford HU model RFX 9000 plays MP3/CD/R
for Can$460 all-in, thats about US$290 (pretty good deal I think)
and soon prolly I'll get a component speakers (Infinity or Rockford).
My question is, ist this set up good or too mix and matched with different
brands? And I'm gonna run the component speakers (front) by the HU,
coz I dont have $$$ yet to buy an amp. (is it Ok to run the speakers without
an amp?)
Thanks
Gil

I know with home audio mixing speakers isn't recommended because of Timbre Matching. I think that has more to do with Home Audio because of the way the enclosures are designed by a certain company.
