Well, there's a few places that you could acutally install it. It would require fabricating some kind of hanger and a lot of fiberglass work, but it can be done. Seeing as how you have an EX, hanging it from the roof, CB radio style, is kind of out of the question. That would be really nifty to see with the head unit in the middle of the roof. It'd be kind of hard to get wiring and everything up there, but it would be feasable with a DX or LX. You could also build some kind of custom mount and mount it on the top of your dash. It'd require some really nifty fiberglass work though. Just sit in your car and use your imagination.

there arent too many places you can put it where it is functional.

the only two places that are functional that have not been done yet are glove compartment, and map pocket.

in the glove compartment, you ahve no acess.

in the map pocket, noone else has acess.

in teh trunk, its only good parked or at competition

maybe in teh center cosole, to teh DIRECT left of the shifter? thatd be konda nice.....

What about in the driver side armest in the door? You'd have to be carefull when you slam the door, just a suggestion.

i just installed mine in the slot next to the e-brake i have seen someone in the members rides with the same thing all i did was use my rotozip and it fits in there perfectly. I put a 5.6" screen where the radio was. Was preatty easy and no fiberglass work.

best place to mount your head unit is actualy 2 places. first what you want to do is go to a computer store and get 2 strands of 6ft. long computer ribbon. second mount the face plate in between your visors on the roof, if you take your car to an alpostery shop they should be able to fab you a slot for this. third, mount the rest of your hu in you glove compartment. now remember that comp ribbon, run it from the pins on the face plate to the pins on the hu. i used to have a 96 ford ranger and we did the same thing except the face plate was mounted in the rearview mirror, always got compliments on it. this is getting done to my ride in october when i go on vacation so i wont have pics until then.

Ok man i just went and looked at the area you are talking about,
my only confusion is that i have a sunroof, leaving only little roof space to mount the faceplate, and very little space to run the cable
is there a way around this

if your state or provincial laws allow it than fab a housing into your rearview mirror, providing you can live with out using it, you get use to it after a while
