diamond audio cm3 or power hx2
i was at the stereo shop today and i was looking to get a power hx2 15" and jbl 1200.1 amp and got quoted 475 out the door. i know it was a good deal but i was playing hardball and asked for 425 out the door he said no. but later he recommended diamond audio subs. i know their speakers are good but how good are their subs? they only hit 500wrms compared to the hx2's 1000. i'm not too concerned about quality just as long as it hits hard n he was saying how the diamond audios hit hard and sound good. does it hit as hard as the hx2s tho? and he was also trying to sell me a hifonics zeus amp... the 1000d mono block one... 1000wrms at 1 ohm. not sure about the price but is this better then the jbl amp? if so, is it much better or would i be better off saving the $30(just guessing) and getting the jbl amp? he also tried selling me a perfomance teknique amp. he said it was made by some big company, i forgot who. maybe he said it was orion and ppi but i thought that was bullish and would prefer the zeus amp... but ya just tell me what ya'll think... about all these products. just keep in mind i'm not too worrried SQ as long as it bumps.

Rep Power: 417 oh n i also noticed that the hx2 kinda seemed poorly built, like it was made of dense paper as to the diamond audio was nicely built... but ya i was still looking toward the hx2s...

Rep Power: 0 If you just want loud..a Power HX2 will do that..and then some..but sound like a granny farting.. The diamonds will thump good..and sound good..but the pair of D's might not hit the same numbers as a single HX2 in an SPL tuned ported enclosure...
But loud is good. But loud sloppy bass will annoy you after awhile. Whereas loud tight bass will not.. hmmm dilemma dillema's... 1 Adire Audio Brahma (from ampmanaudio) off your Hifonics amp seeing as it's 1 ohm mono stable..this sill bump..and sound awesome doing it...and not break the bank
